Tottenham Hotspur are ready to take that next step following a decade-long wait for a trophy, but in order to do that they need the right players to help them.

Mauricio Pochettino already has plenty of stars at his disposal, including Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen.

Questions have been raised over the futures of Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele, but as well as outgoings, the club are likely to strengthen this summer.

One man who has been linked with a switch to the North London outfit is Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, who according to Yahoo Sport is – at the moment at least – likely to sign for Spurs.

The Scotland international – valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt – has made 45 appearances in all competitions and has contributed with four goals and one assist.

The rumoured interest suggests that Danny Rose will be on the way out the exit door given that he has rarely played this season.

The England international spent a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury, and since then has struggled to list Ben Davies from the position.

Tottenham have since tweeted their thoughts on the speculation.
